San Carlos Lagoon: The lagoon is 850 meters above sea level, bordered by the exuberant beauty of Cerro Picacho. The beauty of the landscape, the delicious and fresh breeze, the amount of trees and its warm waters make it the ideal place to spend a day in the country or sleep in the light of the stars. This site is located in the district of the same name, one hour and a half from the city of Panama. The temperatures oscillate, in the dry season, between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius in the day, and at night it is between 17 and 18 degrees, but according to the locals, it has reached up to 14 degrees.
Los Canyons of Chame: These are small canyons produced by erosion by the passage of the Chame River on a section of sedimentary rock, leaving behind large vertical walls spread over several hundred meters, which seem to embrace the river forming ideal wells perfect for swimming, obviously when the weather allows it. It is really an impressive place, with very clean waters ideal for swimming. The average temperature of the water is around 20 degrees Celsius. In its waters, you can observe small fish, and enjoy cold water wells that offer moments of tranquility away from the bustle of the capital and surrounding towns.
El Valle: The Valley of Antón is a popular weekend getaway town for residents of Panama City. Popular activities in the area include camping in established areas, trekking, horseback riding, and natural thermals pools. According to geologists, El Valle is a crater or caldera of a volcano, which is why in its surroundings it is limited to the north by Cerro Pajita, Gaital and Cara Coral with heights of 1,000 meters above sea level, to the south of Cerro Cara Iguana and Cerro Guacamaya (Cerro la Huaca) with 800 meters above sea level; to the west India Dormida; and to the east Cerro Tagua with 800 meters above sea level. The Valley has a main road, called Central Avenue or Central Street, which runs East-West through the town. An important point is the Sunday public market, which is visited by Panamanians who live in the region. The Valley has a small museum, as well as a small zoo, a serpentarium, a butterfly exposition, and a beautiful garden that exhibits more than a hundred species of orchids from the locality.
