The Valley of Antón is a town located in the northeastern area of ​​the corregimiento of the same name, in the province of Coclé, Panama. It is a tourist country village of 7,602 inhabitants (2000 Census) in the province of Coclé, Panama.

The Valley has a main road, called Central Avenue or Central Street, which runs East-West through the town. The Valley has a small museum, as well as a small zoo and a serpentarium, and a garden that exhibits 100 species of orchids of the locality.

The town is a popular weekend getaway for residents of Panama City. Popular activities in the area include camping in established areas, pedestrian walking trails, horseback riding.

The town is 27 kilometers from the interamerican highway. Buses to Panama City are frequent and take approximately 2 hours.

Due to its elevation around 600 meters above sea level it has a less warm climate than in the coastal lands. Natural attractions near El Valle include the El Macho waterfall, a group of small thermal pools, a zoological garden called “El Nispero” that includes collections of anuran amphibians. The area around the city is also known to be one of the habitats of the Panamanian golden frog, endemic species in danger of extinction. Some of the forests around the city are protected areas.

The Valley is also known as the place of the Sleeping India, name given to the shape of a mountain, because it presents the shape of the figure of a woman lying on her back and some writers consider it as a sanctuary for meditation.
